To be more efficient the National Crime Prevention Council of Hungary would like to set up the network of the county crime prevention councils. The NCPC started building the network in Baranya county where the local government agency decided to support the initiative. Local authorities and stakeholders in crime prevention sat down to form the first county council as a pilot project.

The ’Shape your space ‘project follows the CPTED principles and involves locals – the municipality, schools, etc.- in the reconstruction of a local park in the 10th district of Budapest.   

The project is a milestone for the National Crime Prevention Council that has included CPTED, and the role of conscious architectural and environmental design in its crime prevention strategy and annual action plans.

The popular story book series of the National crime Prevention Council are now available for everyone free of charge.

On the website visitors find 8 cartoons -both for kindergarten and elementary school students-and our interactive story reading app which is an interactive version of the original tales with extra features in order to improve children’s reading skills.
