Thanks to the Shape Your Space project and the efficient usage of the CPTED principles, squares and parks are becoming safer and more appeal to the public in the 10th district. The successful project now extend even further, more squares and streets join the movement, and the National Crime Prevention Council is there to support the initiative.

As a shared effort, the Hungarian Crime Prevention Council, the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta and the local authorities launched a complex crime prevention project at Tarnazsadány, Sárkeresztúr and Tarnaméra. The project aimed two age groups, between 8-12 and 12-15 competed each other in a  seasonal football cup. Beside the sport activities, thanks to the initiative called Szimfónia a concert was held also, introducing their musical improvement of the young ones.

The unique approach to the bullying issue through a dramatic play was co-produced by the Láthatáron Csoport and the Pro Progression Egyesület. Originally the play will be played exclusively for high school students, but for this two occasion the play was reachable for the wide public in the 26th and the 27th of February. The main idea was to actively interact with the audience, demolish the “fourth wall”, and invite the viewer over the passive spectator role to an active story forming attitude.

Funded by the National Crime Prevention Council, the very first escape room - designed and based  on the experiential education and with the crime prevention philosophy in mind -  has been opened for the youth and families at Kőbánya’s prominent street, at Újhegyi sétány. 

Dr. Hatala József, the head of the National Crime Prevention Council emphasised in his opening speech, that the most powerful way to spread the knowledge of the crime prevention is through games, and the (V)ÉSZJELZÉS escape room is a good example of it.

The National Crime Prevention Council and the Kleberlsberg Központ shared effort, the “Válts egy csokit mosolyra” program had a successful year in 2019. They had been collected many offerings for the Szent Ágota Child Protection Provider’s kids and protected ones. For the special occasion many of the protected ones and orphans get together as a family and celebrated Christmas with all the personalized gifts and offerings that they received.

At the community centre of Csepel  orphans and members of the Child Protection service at the age 13-17 intrduced themself, and their musical development thanks to the National Crime Prevention Council’s project the “A zene az kell…”.

Together with the European countries we have launched a prevention campaign on trafficking in human beings on 17 October 2019, a day before the EU Anti-Trafficking Day.

Our main goals are to step up the fight against this crime by informing:

•(potential) victims that they could be or become a victim of THB
•victims of THB where they can find help, protection and information
•victims of THB that they have EU-wide rights: Assistance & support, Protection, Compensation, Human & labour rights, Reflection period & Residence rights and Reintegration

A zene az kell

The National Crime Prevention Council’s ongoing musical project “A zene az kell, hogy ne vesszünk el” is aiming for disadvantaged young adults and orphans. The program was devised in 2014 by the County of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg Police Crime Preventing Department.
